On 7th of March 2016 William Castillo, founding member of AHERAMIGUA, was killed in El Bagre, Bajo Cauca, Antioquia. His death caused a huge blow to the organisation that continues to carry out its important work in the defense of human rights, despite the hugely dangerous situation and the lack of guarantees from the Colombian state.
