The term “human rights defender” (HRD) is used to describe anyone who, individually or with others, works to promote or protect civil, political, economic, social, cultural or environmental rights is an HRD.
With this publication, Peace Brigades International (PBI) – Colombia Project highlight the efforts and achievements of HRDs during 2015, as well as the challenges faced by those who, day in-day out, dedicate themselves to the defence of human rights and to building a lasting and sustainable peace.
